Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2015, Early Saturday Evening [Part 2]

As the last new graduate sat down with their diploma, a roaring noise could be heard in the distance. The noise quickly got louder, and then it wasn't so distant at all as dragons began to swarm around the lawn.

Some of the dragons were real, with scales and tails and fire in their breath. Following in their wake were smaller, squishier dragons, in a variety of tasty jello flavors.

As the dragons descended upon the graduates, the Fandom graduation protocols kicked in, and an invisible barrier came down to separate the graduates from the rest of the audience.

Good luck, graduates. Hopefully there were some brave knight types among you!

"Define me, never," Sparkle decided. "I'm way too invested in white lies and tall tales for 'real' to get to dictate who I am. But, you know... inform me, sure. I'm not going to get a healthy dose of the island's stupid brand of whimsy once I'm gone. I can't let myself pretend out there is anything like here was. That'd be a great way to go down hard and fast."

"There are similarities, but each world has its own form of insanity, I suppose." Hannibal shrugged and handed Sparkle the shirt. "You're unlikely to have raining sharks in your Toronto."

Sparkle gave Hannibal a grateful look as he accepted the shirt, dropping his own wet and sticky one on the grass for a moment so that he could pull it on.

Heh. Fancy.

"See, I'm going to be thankful for that. Like, forever. We probably won't end up with Jello dragons, either."

Well, these were Hannibal's "the island has ruined my clothes" clothes. They were the closest he had.
