If you thought a little thing like weeks of unrelenting trauma was going to stop your final exam, you didn't know Anakin very well. He at least look vaguely sorry about it between texts on his comlink (that was only half to avoid talking to Obi-Wan).

Smooth, Anakin. Very smooth.

It was Obi-Wan who cleared his throat and began speaking after the exams had been distributed. "It is traditional for this class to end in a written exam," he said. "No choice listed on these sheets is wrong--" though he and Anakin might disagree about which ones were least wrong, ahem, "--as we are primarily interested in your reasoning. Please be thorough."

"And legible," Anakin added. He coughed. "And if anyone feels the need to talk about this weekend, or last, for that matter, we're around after class."

"Someone blew up the school?" Obi-Wan said, raising an eyebrow.

... All right, showing a bit more consternation than that, actually. "And you didn't care to tell me about this sooner?"

"No one we know," Anakin said, "but...yes. We rebuilt."

"Any chance of such destruction happening this year?" Obi-Wan said. "Perhaps I should come armed..."

"I always do," Anakin admitted.

"Two lightsabers are better than one, I believe," Obi-Wan said.

Anakin smirked. "Unless it's a euphemism, and then no."

"Get your mind out of the gutter, Anakin," Obi-Wan said, his tone chastising but faintly amused, as well. "Sometimes a lightsaber is just a lightsaber."

"Not when you're teaching a group of teenagers," Anakin said.

"It's not the teenagers cracking jokes about phallic objects at the moment," Obi-Wan pointed out mildly.

Anakin smirked. "Got to think like them in order to not have them giggling through a lecture."

"Yes," Obi-Wan said dryly, "Because you certainly didn't have a puerile sense of humor when you were younger."

Except don't even, Anakin.

Anakin laughed softly. "Oh, really."

"You are supposed to be a teacher," Obi-Wan said primly, "A role model."

He shot Anakin another brief, amused look, and his tone was joking when he added, "The least you can do is spare a thought for the students who might not mind two lightsabers."

Anakin had not expected that out of Obi-Wan's mouth and he had to fight back a sudden fit of the giggles.

"Really?" he hissed, fake-glaring.

Oh, come on now, he wasn't completely stuffy.

"I should have brought tea," he mused, ignoring Anakin's antics.

... he was mostly stuffy.

Anakin's smile was impossibly fond. "We'll get some after class."
