Self Defense, Thursday, Period One

They were in the Danger Shop today, sure, but it was set up more or less exactly like the gym with a shooting range attached. Both in the gym and as the targets in the range were dummies. Dummies whose faces provided a close, if not exactly 1:1 (both because Atton had no pictures and because he didn't want to re-traumatize any kids by making this too realistic) representations of a melodramatic evil demon grifter they might recognize.

"Hi," Atton offered. "Today, we're not so much doing self defense as self-therapy."

He pointed at a rack that hosted an array of weapons, ranging from the traditional to tire irons and a baseball bat. Then he pointed at a table full of blasters.

"Have fun," he said.

And then he sat down behind his desk.

...with the remains of his phone.

Sparkle was only starting with the baseball bat, today. He still wasn't completely back up to 100%, especially since he was the stubborn moron who only stayed in the clinic for a day and a half, so he could really only keep going until he knocked the first dummy's limbs off before he had to switch over to the blaster.

On the plus side, his aim with that thing had never been so good before.

...you know what? Minako was really really pissed off and didn't feel like faking being the dumb blonde. Besides, there were at least two people in this class that knew better.

She stalked over to the weapons, almost picked up a broadsword, but then passed over it for the bullwhip.

Yeah, Smeland Smaunt was gonna get his limbs yanked off, his head removed, and then the torso picked up and flung around the room a bit. Minako had some anger issues to work out today.

He has a desk full of phone parts and an online manual to phone repair on a datapad.

Look, he might as well learn something today. Dehydrating the comlink was a lot easier than putting a smashed Earth phone back together.
