Self Defense, Thursday, February 5th

"Atton has been unavoidably detained," Anakin said, sweeping into the classroom five minutes late. "I'm Anakin Skywalker, the dean of students and a fellow Jedi--" Atton wasn't there to squawk about the title, so neener, neener Atton, "--and so today we're going to do some important self-defense work."

If you noticed that the Danger Shop looked a little like a running track, well, it's okay to have a bad feeling about that.

"You cannot defend yourself if you cannot, when it matters, run away from the problem faster than the person chasing you can catch you. Therefore, laps."

Ugh, Anakin, you're the worst.

"Sprint the first lap. I'll add hurdles to the second lap and pits and other obstacles the third. Try not to twist an ankle."

Thanks, Anakin.

This was a disaster. Travis managed to jump one thing before the next he just went around.

Yeaaah, Sparkle couldn't just leap over this thing, but he had a fair amount of practise at jumping fences, and was reasonably certain he could make this lap without, like, breaking his neck.

Still worried about Atton, though.

Vider was not a tall girl, so this...was not happening.

She would just be going around the hurdles and hoping the teacher did not notice.

You loved her, Anakin, you really loved her!

Minako's grin was pure joy as she swerved around the first one to build up speed, and entered into a series of gymnastics flips that got taller and taller to let her clear the next one. The lap continued in that manner, as she used her momentum to clear every-other hurdle.

There was a brief pang of sadness she couldn't just transform into Venus and play around, but working up a sweat was always fun.
