Bonfire and Snowball Fight, Saturday Afternoon/Evening

In the late part of the afternoon, the finishing touches were put on the setup on the front lawn of the school, and the bonfire was lit. There were tables of warm food and drinks, as well as the ingredients for s'mores because it was a fire and traditions were important.

There was also, thanks to nature and the cold weather, a nice blanket of snow on the ground. There were some chairs and benches for people who just wanted to sit, eat, and watch, but anyone who wanted to get in on the snowball fight had plenty of space and ammunition waiting to be made. Zoe had found a chair for herself a safe distance from where any snowballs might be flying - unless things got a little crazy, which wouldn't surprise her in the slightest.

The snowball that came flying Zoe's way was totally an accident, as it was a stray that Gwen was trying to throw too overhand at someone else, and it just slipped out of her hand before she knew.

If she got expelled she was so gonna tell everyone it was something more badass than a snowball fight.

If Zoe hadn't been able to tell where the snowball came from, she probably would have been able to tell from Gwen's expression. "Miss Stacy! What was the meaning of that?" she asked, brushing the snow off of herself.

"The meaning is that I need better gloves?" Gwen tried. "Sorry sorry sorry."

Every other school she wouldn't really care but um.

"Relax, you're not in trouble," Zoe said.

Then she picked up one of her snowballs and quickly threw it at Gwen.

"All right, now you're really not in trouble."

Gwen made a face, but this was like the one time in her life she didn't talk back to an authority figure. Instead, she brushed herself off, and saluted, and said, "I'm gonna be over there."
