Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were chairs and tables set up all across the lawn; some were by the bonfire, for the people who wanted to be warm and central to everything else at the picnic, and some were set farther away from the action, for the people who wanted more peace and quiet.

There was no escaping the glitter though. Sorry, but not really.

[OCD is up! This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Newbies ranking somewhat lower in her interests than free food, Emma had staked out her usual spot by the buffet.

"There's a chocolate fountain," Anna said, helpfully. "With things you can stick into it. Food things? You should really check it out."

She was doing her good deed of the day: attempting to inform people of the illustrious fountain of chocolatey goodness in their midst.

"So I see." It was kind of hard to miss now that Anna had pointed it out. "I'll have to check that out later." After she'd figured if it was possible to stash melted chocolate in a backpack for later.

"I'm Emma."

"Anna, of Arendelle," Anna said, dropping what had to be her fiftieth curtsy of the day. Meeting people was wonderful. "Are you new here, too? You weren't on the bus thing. Unless you were and I just didn't see you. In which case it was totally me, not you."

Emma, you should remember that name, it'd be useful in a decade or so.

"Uh, no, I've been here for a while." And was trying to to think about it being her last semester.

"Is it nice?" Anna asked. "Because it -- it seems nice. And a little bit like maybe I hit my head and this is all a dream no one's going to believe me about, tomorrow."

"It's nicer than the rest of the school's I've been to." And crazier, but hopefully Anna's big sib had started easing her into that.

"I've never been to school before," Anna admitted. "We just had private tutors? And a governess but that was for me, because I was little."

Anna's big sib was also dating her older sister, so her morning had been a barrel of laughs thus far.

"I don't know how different it'll be for you," Emma said. "But the classes here aren't like normal schools."

That narrative sounded awkward, but it could always be worse. As evidenced by the fact Emma was some badly timed decisions and her player still deciding whether it could be massaged into her backstory or not from being her adoptive cousin from an alternate reality.
