The forecast for today might have called for rain, but thankfully, there was no sign of bad precipitation in Fandom. The weather was bright and sunny, but still a bit chilly, so the first thing people might have noticed when they arrived was the bonfire set up in the middle of the lawn. There were tables and chairs scattered around the bonfire, some a safer distance away than others, and each table had been graced with a good portion of gold and blue glitter because the glitter supply was never, ever going to run out and certain people in the administration had just come to terms with that.

There were tables of ~~moddable~~ food and drinks, complete with the ingredients to make s'mores, as well as name tags and the lists of Big Siblings and roommates. It was time to welcome some new people!

[OCD is up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

This hiding place might be problematic. How could she get to the orange puffy things if someone was standing in the way? On the other hand, she still wanted to scope out what was going on around her.

Maybe.... "Excuse me," Hanna said in a very soft voice. "Could you pass the bag of Cheet-os down here?"

Carmilla crouched down and peered under the table. "What are you hiding under there for?" she said.

"They have my name on the list. And I didn't even plan on being here," Hanna said carefully. "I'm observing." Then she added, "From cover."

"What list?" Carmilla said. "The roommate list? I can see how that would be so utterly terrifying."

Hanna poked her head out further, and kept her voice down. "I didn't plan on being here until an hour ago. How did they get my name on all these lists?" Freaking out just a little bit here! "And who else can find those lists? Who else might know I'm here?"

Carmilla had a bad feeling about this.

"What's your name?" she asked. Just her luck, she'd get the crazy girl as a roommate.

"Hanna." She poked her head out a little more, studying the other girl. "What is yours?"

Of course.

"Carmilla," she said. "Looks like I'm your new roommate, cupcake."

Hanna frowned, and poked her head out more, enough to rest her arms on the bench. She studied Carmilla carefully, not seeing any obvious weapons. And also not seeing anything that would mark her as working for Marissa Wiegler's people.

She almost, kind of, reminded her of Sophie. "I've never had a roommate," she admitted. "I lived alone with my father."
