Faculty Meeting (Friday after classes)

With the semester in full swing, Zoe thought there might be a need for the teachers and administration to talk to each other. Or maybe it was just Friday and Fridays deserved to be celebrated. Either way, a handwavy message had gone out to the staff to meet in the student council room for an informal faculty meeting. Zoe had set up coffee, cold drinks, donuts, and pastries; there was nothing alcoholic yet, but it was still early in the semester.

"Good afternoon," she said once it looked like everyone was there. "I wanted to give everyone a chance to get together now that we're past the introduction phase with the students. Feel free to take some food and talk to each other about whatever you need to." Whether they talked about students or things that actually interested them was up to them.

Hannibal did not have alcohol. He did, however, have very good coffee (a thermos full) and a nice-sized box of grand marnier and vanilla mascarpone-filled profiteroles (http://gourmetgetaways.com.au/grand-marnier-vanilla-mascarpone-filled-profiteroles/).

He'd probably share with anyone who was pleasant. (So, not Anakin.)

"Well, hello there Dr. Lecter," Zoe said with a smile. "It's always a pleasure to see you and the gifts of your cooking."

Was she being overly pleasant for a pastry? Possibly!

"Hello, Principal Winchester," Hannibal answered, smiling back and holding out the box for her to take one. "It's always a pleasure to be seen and appreciated. How have you been?"

"I'm much better now," she said, taking a pastry from the box. "But I suppose this week hasn't been terrible, all things considered. Is your class going well?"

"Apart from the fact that half of them took the same class last year and did well in it?" Hannibal chuckled. "Very well, thank you. And at least I know who's coming mainly for the food."
