Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Were you a veteran Fandom resident? Did you finish getting your brain broken by your sibling and/or buddy? Did you just want to sit down to recover from the shuttle ride? If so, then there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn just waiting to be filled!

[This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Oh. My. Gosh. NEW FRIENDS. And Minako had just found out that Alex had left and she wasn't getting a new roommate and that meant she had to make friends with the new girls ASAP because SLEEPOVER TIME!!!!!

So there was a cheerful Minako, bouncing around the entire picnic, occasionally stopping to stuff food in her face or pet the grouchy looking white cat that had taken up residence under a tree for a nap. Because Artemis totally wasn't letting her out of his sight on a day with new people around. That would be asking for a Minako disaster.

"Well, yeah, I mean there's ribs, and soda, and all these cookies," Minako babbled, trying to balance her plate of aforementioned cookies as she turned towards the new voice.

...Guh. Hellooooooooooooo nurse.

She blinked a few times to try and flush the big googly hearts out of her eyes before offering him a brilliant smile and her hand. "You're new! I'm Aino Minako, from Tokyo, but everyone just calls me Minako."

Johnny loved getting that reaction from girls.

"I'm Johnny Storm from New York, but you can call me whatever you want as long as you call me," Johnny said as he shook her hand. He'd known her for two seconds, but he had a hunch she'd like that kind of goofy line.

"To do that, I'd need your number, wouldn't I?" Minako flirted right back. Because helloooooooooooooo she was the GODDESS OF LOVE and he was cuuuuuuuuute. "What room are you in?"

"315," Johnny said, because he didn't mind sharing that with someone he just met. "I have a feeling we're going to be good friends, so feel free to stop by any time."

Again, probably not the thing to say to somebody you literally just met.

"If you've got a decent gaming system, I might never leave," Minako warned, batting her eyelashes outrageously. "I had to leave mine at home, and my roommate just moved out and took his with him."

"Sorry, I'm game-free at the moment. I came straight here from a summer in Paris, so there's a lot that's back in New York," Johnny said. "But did you just say you don't have a roommate now?"

How about the old girls? Were they invited to the slumber party, too? Kathy had only been to one slumber party so far in her life but she had really enjoyed it.

"You look excited," Kathy said with a wave as Minako bounced by her spot at the table. "Definitely moreso than the actual newbies."

"Food!" Minako enthused, throwing her arms open wide. "All we can eat! Not from the cafeteria! And I get my own room this semester! I'm going to need to, like, throw a slumber party once I get it decorated properly."

"I knoooow," Kathy agreed happily, holding up an ice cream cone she was happily devouring. "We're spoiled, Minako. Compared to my old school, our cafeteria is practically fine cuisine and all of this?" She spread her arms out to convey the massive spread before them. "Heaven."

She paused to catch up her her cone before it melted onto her hand, then asked, "Do you have any ideas for your new room? To decorate it, I mean. That sounds like a lot of fun!"

"Fairy lights, arcade and monster movie posters, some idol pictures, and just lots of pretty!" Minako announced. "I might totally make it a party."

"A decoration party?" Kathy asked, looking intrigued. "That could work it's way to a slumber party really easily. We get in, decorate, eat and hang out, then watch movies until we fall asleep?"
