Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

Were you a veteran Fandom resident? Did you finish getting your brain broken by your sibling and/or buddy? Did you just want to sit down to recover from the shuttle ride? If so, then there were plenty of tables and chairs set up across the lawn just waiting to be filled!

[This is the picnic post for general mingling. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

After meeting his little sibling, Four treated himself with a big slice of chocolate cake and tried to pretend like that amount of food still didn't shock him.

...he wasn't as good at the second part.

Kaylin waited for a likely moment, not just after he'd taken a big bite of cake, thank you, before she stepped forward. "Hey. So... I was wondering if you could help me, maybe."

Not to beat up the guy who put the bruises on her face, no she wanted to be able to do that herself one day.

"What the hell happened to you?" Four asked, frowning hard at her face.

"Got my ass handed to me in training this week," Kaylin said cheerfully. "Sergeant decided I should make up the whole summer in a week. Which is kind of what I wanted to ask you about."

She could not begin to say how much she appreciated someone else who didn't have much use for small talk.

"You need to learn not to get your ass kicked this hard," Four said, nodding.

"Yes." See, she knew he'd get it right away. "I'm tiny, so I'm going to have to work a lot harder, especially for when we do the fighting multiple people stuff. And I need someone who won't go easy on me just 'cause I'm small and a girl."

"That won't be a problem," Four said. "Dauntless doesn't make a differentiation."

"Then do you think maybe you could help me?" Kaylin asked. "I don't know what I could offer in return, but we can find something, I'm sure."
