Nadia grabbed some food without really looking at it, and hearing John and Pip's conversation, headed over to join them.

"One word for you. Helium."

She didn't look pleased with the world, today. She actually looked like she'd just rolled out of the wrong side of the bed. But there was nothing obviously wrong with her,

"Helium?" John frowns. "You turn things into helium?"

Nadia sighed. "Not quite." She screwed her face for a moment as if in concentration.

*pfffffffffft!*

"^{That answer your question?}"

"^{You fart helium?}" Pip asked.

After Nadia demonstrated her talent, John suddenly finds his steek very interesting.

"Well, that's...well, that's...I have no idea what that is, Nadia."

"^{Damn. And here I was hoping you had a cure.}" Sarcasm plus helium? Well, let's just say it's an interesting mix. "^{Veronica said she thought it was some cloud of toxic gas that's affecting the dorms.}"

John says.

Nadia nodded glumly. "^{The voice thing seems to fade pretty quickly, too. Just a couple of minutes. You haven't had anything happen to you yet?}"

," John replies. "

"^Lucky." Nadia cleared her throat and took a sip of her water. "I'd say it was the food, but I haven't eaten in here for most of the week."

John clears his throat too. "A very delayed after effect of the snow monsters maybe?"

"I guess." Nadia shrugged. "I don't really know anything about magic."

Pip, not wanting to go with the crowd, directed his attention to his putetues. "So... any ideas as to how this happened? I think Veronica's main theory is 'toxic gas cloud'."

"Sounds plausible," John says. "But, then again, anything would sound plausible for this school. Perhaps an allergy to something? I mean, I don't have any powers so maybe I'm allergic?"

Pip nodded. "I figure we should all just get everyone together and try to figure out if there's something we have in common pre-powers. Veronica said that Piper thinks it's magical in nature."

"Probably a good idea," John says, nodding. "If anything," John says and starts to smile, "you guys could combine your forces and becomes an awesome superhero team."

"We fight crime with glitter, helium, detatchable limbs, and NyQuill? Actually, it might work with NyQuill, that's really strong stuff."

"Sure," John says. "The Nyquil makes them all stick, you shoot the glitter onto them while they're sticky and get them all disoriented and then Rory throws her limbs at them and knocks them over. Well oiled machine!"

"Makes sense to me. Is it just us students, or was the rest of the town affected, too?"

"Dunno," Pip said. "I've only heard about students being affected, but it couldn't hurt to look into the townies."

Nadia nodded and started eating her food faster. "I'm heading into town soon, anyway, maybe I'll see something unusual-er than, um, usual."

"...Helium?" Pip asked.
