As per the ~~handwavy~~ email Kate had sent out beforehand, class was meeting at Wonka's Sweets Shoppe. "So long story short, last week I was dealing with the everlasting stupid that is midwestern airlines," Kate started without preamble. "So you got my boyfriend instead of me. I hope you had fun, and even if you didn't, I hope you have some this time."

They were in a candy store. If they didn't have fun in here, Kate was going to think there was something seriously wrong with them.

"Today, we'll be taking one of your suggestions from the introductions: we'll be learning how to make chocolate. And we're doing it here, because I wanted you to have actual non-simulated chocolate, and because there's actually someone here who knows what they're doing." That was, a helpful ~~NPC~~ Wonka's employee, who had all the necessary things laid out for them, from ingredients to molds. "And he's going to show us how it's done, and then you can all try your hand at making your own treats. Take it away, Mr. Wonka's representative!"

And so, the man launched into a demonstration of how to make chocolate using cocoa powder as the main ingredient. Pay attention, kids, it was going to be your turn soon.

Take a look at the ~~moddable~~ molds while you're at it.

This was actually a pretty cool thing to be doing. Flick didn't have the sweetest tooth in the world but he definitely liked some chocolate. He figured he could take some back to Isabelle if anything. He watched the demonstration with fairly rapt attention.

Critique and help each other, try not to dump anything on yourselves.

Watching someone make chocolate was a lot easier than making it himself but that wasn't going to stop Flick from trying. The only bad thing was having only the partial use of one hand and the full use of another meant he had to be careful not to dump anything on the floor while he went to work.

Okay, this was pretty cool. Alex was making chocolates in the shape of tiny swords, and wondering if it would hold up if he shipped some to his dad. Ares would probably get a kick out of it.

Elsa was pretty sure she'd died and gone to heaven, here. Making chocolate!

She was going to pour hers into some pretty rose-shaped molds, musing to herself how it was probably for the best that she had to keep her gloves on through all this. The temptation to dip a finger in and taste test was strong, right now.

Making chocolates in the shape of tiny Corgi like a freaking dopey doofus.

I wanna make my own chocolate too.
