Sam was waiting in the Danger Shop once again and was on his phone while everyone filed in and got settled. Once class started, he put the phone away.

"Morning and welcome back," he said, nodding. "Sounds like you guys had a pretty swell weekend, huh? Reminds me of the days I was here and dealing with that. If you ended up dead, you're now in a very elite club. Anyway, hope you didn't get too shook up."

With that said, Sam jumped right into the place. "Today, we're going to enjoy a few rounds of street luge. If you know what luge is, then you'll probably get an idea what street luge is. Basically, we're going to take a luge board, which is easier to just call a sled, and we're gonna ride it done a paved course. You ride down on your back and, if we're lucky, we might be able to hit speeds of forty to ninety seven miles an hour."

Before getting the sim started, Sam went through a list of equipment and ways to be safe while on the luge board. He didn't want anyone getting hurt despite them being in the Danger Shop. "Try it at least once and then, try it again to beat your time! Have fun!"

The sim was started and the street luge course loomed large above the students, ready for each of them to have their turn.

Ugh, why had Sam have to mention the weekend? Whyyyyy?

Not that Kathy wasn't (still) thinking about it, but it would have been nice not to have the reminder.

Yeah, speeding down a course at super speed wasn't exactly going to make Kira feel all better. She gave Kathy a little smile as she grabbed her safety gear. "Hey, how was your weekend?"

Kathy was just going to groan and try to hide. Did that help answer the question at all?

"I was a terrible person," she said eventually, when it became obvious the ground wasn't going to be useful enough to swallow her whole.

Thanks ground.

"I'm still trying to figure out what the absolute worst thing I did this weekend is. There's a lot to choose from."

Kira gave her a sympathetic look. "I was apparently involved in a detective agency-slash-speakeasy-slash-a bunch of other quasi-legal things," she said. "Did you kill people? The radio made it seem like there was a lot of that going around."

"I...sorta didn't get a chance to?" Kathy said, doing her level best to not just bury her face in her hands and live like that forever. "I kinda, umm...slept with a guy so I could get access to his stuff. Later, I , errr, blinded him. With liquid opium. That I was smuggling."

This was her life now.

Time to climb on your luge board and go! Feel free to mod crashes or you getting to the bottom like a professional badass!
