Driver's Ed, Period 2, Thursday

Instead of the driving course, today the Danger Shop resembled a large waterway, with buoys picking out a course. Several water craft waited at a small pier.

"Good morning," Bond said. "Continuing and expanding on last weeks theme of driving more unusual vehicles, today you'll be trying your hands at steering hovercraft."

He went on to explain the controls and the principles behind the craft themselves. "Technically they can travel over both land and water, but do try to stick to just the water today."

Jalian frowned. These weren't nearly as fun and responsive as high-performance cars!

And after driving around and completely turning hers over once (don't even ask), Jalian found long wriggly fish in the bottom of hers.

She cursed in silverspeech, "My hovercraft is full of eels! (http://www.omniglot.com/language/phrases/hovercraft.htm)"

Then she firmly showed them all back out and tried driving again.

Hovercraft was never going to be her favorite mode of travel.
