Driver's Ed, Period 2, Thursday

The Danger Shop was once again set up as the driving track, however this week instead of cars, there were bikes waiting for the students.

"Good morning," Bond greeted them. "While we've been focused mainly on driving cars so far, this week we're going to be looking at riding motorbikes instead, which requires both a slightly different skill set and a greater awareness of the road around you."

He went on to explain the basics of using a bike instead of a car. "Now that you've got an idea of how things work, you can use the rest of class to put it into practice, but first you'll need to gear up as taking a tumble at full speed is not pleasant, even with the safety protocols in place."

These were interesting new machines. Jalian thought she probably preferred the cars, but she could see where smaller things might be useful.

And unlike her other class, this male seemed to actually offer useful information, so she listened.

Helmet, gloves, boots, pants, jacket. Bond's not going to let you on a bike without 'em.

Jalian found the clothes a bit of a relief - actual proper leathers, even if the cut was a bit odd. She found some in white that suited her and got ready, but eyed the helmet rather dubiously. "How do you see anything with this on?"

Jalian found riding a little more difficult. She had good natural balance, but attempting to balance this 'motorbike' while steering it was a challenge.

Fortunately, she was stubborn dedicated and had excellent reflexes.

Unfortunately, she still had little use for things like speed laws. She was probably going to end up a bit bruised and scraped by the end of class. But so what?

Instead of gearing up and getting on a bike, Joker headed over to Bond. "I'm just gonna sit this one out, if that's okay with you."
