Driver's Ed, Period 2, Thursday

Bond's class was back in the Danger Shop, but instead of just one car at the driving course, there were enough for everyone in the class. This boded well.

"Good morning," Bond said. "Now we're going to be jumping in the deep end this week, as you'll all be driving again, but all on the same road at the same time. This serves several purposes, firstly it gives you more experience behind the wheel, it gives you experience sharing the road with other drivers, and it helps demonstrate the need for road rules by showing what happens when there aren't any."

He paused. "Technically, not quite what happens, as in addition to the safety protocols keeping you from a horrible mangled death, the crash physics have been...tweaked." He wasn't going to elaborate further on that.

"Well, what are you all waiting for?"

Drive those high powered luxury cars...that now behave like dodgem cars when they hit each other.

Jalian had rather enjoyed learning to drive. Particularly the part where you went really fast.

Which she was going to do again, as much as possible. She wasn't going to try to hit anybody, but she also had never even heard of "road rules" or things like lanes, so.

Kira, on the other hand, was going pretty slowly, but she was a little nervous about her steering, and she didn't mean to get in Jalian's way, it just sort of happened.

Jalian cursed in silverspeech and did her best to steer around the other girl, but clipped her at the last minute.

Then spent several seconds bouncing away and trying to regain control. Also, trying to decide if that was more terrifying or more fun.

Kira let out a squeal as her car bounced away, and then looked over at Jalian. "Oh my god are you okay?"
