Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

With all the rain that had blown through earlier in the week, the school administration had been worried that welcome picnic day would be wet and gloomy. Thankfully, it was sunny, warm, and beautiful outside, and everything had been set up just in time for the shuttle of new folks to arrive. There was a buffet table of food and drinks waiting, along with the list of Big and Little Siblings, the list of roommates, and more name tags than they'd probably need for three picnics.

Also, there wasn't a single flower out on the lawn after last weekend. Just saying.

With everything in place, it looked like it was time for the first summer term to begin!

[OCD up! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

Hannibal...would do his best not to lop off an arm.

He shook Jono's hand on the agreement. "And I prefer not to fuss. I would rather fix things, or let them go." Or kill them, of course. That went without saying, right?

Probably best it did go without saying. Jono would likely raise an eyebrow at that one. At least a little bit.

//Well then... Maybe we can sit and actually chat one of these days. I'll admit, I am curious to see what you have to say about some of the same things I've been holding back from other people over the years.//

Hannibal would love to hear those things, too.

"I hope we will continue to chat quite a bit," he answered. "Some of it more focused than other times." He smiled. "For today, shall we discuss what food to have in class this week?"

//Oh, you do not want me picking the menu,// Jono chuckled. //I'm the one who thinks that greasy takeout pizza is a job well done, at mealtime.//

... He was going to insist on pizza at least once, though.

"I am not making greasy anything," Hannibal answered with a disapproving look. "But I imagine I can come up with some sort of pizza."

It would be gourmet and nearly unrecognizable as pizza.
furnaceface: (Told you so)

Would it be flat and round? Would it involve tomatoes and cheese?

Jono would take it.

//Looking forward to it,// he decided, clearly amused. //I mean, to see what else it is I've been missing out on for so long.//

It could involve those things! Heirloom tomatoes and goat cheese, maybe...

"Along with your chips and beer." Hannibal shook his head, fighting a smile. "I am teaching with a heathen."

He'd probably bring beer, too. But it would be good beer!
