Fandom High Graduation Ceremony, Class of 2014, Early Saturday Evening [Part 1]

Right after sunset, to make sure all types of guests could safely attend, the ceremony for graduation was ready to go. The lawn of the school had been lit up with blue and gold lights, creating safe paths for everyone to get to the seating area, and even in the fading sunlight, the graduates and their guests could likely see the beautiful job that the school's new gardening company had done getting plots of flowers and garden decorations set up around the stage. It might have been a long, cold winter, but there were no signs left of that tonight.

Of course, the pretty landscaping wasn't keeping the staff off of high alert, but hopefully the guests wouldn't notice as they were welcomed in.

Congratulations, Class of 2014! You made it! Now you just had to get through the ceremony. Maybe it would be quick and only slightly boring?

"You are such a slacker," Kenzi responded, letting him do it, and taking a mouthful of her own. "So, dead things or crazy things at this ceremony, what do you think?"

"Crazy things. I think dead things has been over done." It was old news. He munched on popcorn a bit. "Though, I hope it's a smaller scale than my graduation was. Some of these guys look like they might run and hide rather than fight."

"Which is a smart thing to do in that case," Kenzi had to agree. "Me, I think I hid under my chair for a little bit there. They really need to get bigger chairs for the grads."

"Or start providing weapons under said chairs." Seifer remembered his graduation fondly. And with much blood lust.

"What happened at yours?" he asked, not paying attention to graduation at all.

"There were these diggy-things. They were making like, earthquakes happen. It popped up *under* my chair." Kenzi shuddered. "Fortunately, being friends with Topher meant I had a grenade."

That made him blink a few times, trying to imagine it.

"Baby island throwing a tantrum still rules."

"Well, okay point."

Hmm. Maybe Ingvar would want visitors during her class? HMMM.

"I still remember the leftover Vikings from the year I showed up. Those were awesome. So was the mead."

"Skywalker's survival class. That was awesome. Especially with everyone bundled up and I was running round in my jacket, cooking up some weird creature."

He did have fond memories of this place.

"Ha. Should've taken that instead of his Ethics class. Although I did rock out on that Final." Kenzi looked contemplative. "Right, beach barbecue, has to happen in my class. Hopefully in Barbados or something." She grinned at him. "You're welcome to help out with a class some week, if you want or have a good idea."

"I took them both, he's a pretty good teacher." Someone, somewhere just get a bad case of the chills.

"Guest teacher sounds pretty awesome. I could totally go with Barbados. Mexico or Belize is a good choice too, going diving in the cenotes."

"OOOOOOO diving, yessss." Kenzi was rubbing her hands together in glee. "Treasure! Arrr, me hearties!"

All of Kenzi's classes were probably going to verge on the ridiculous.

Seifer was rather amused at her excitement.

"See, now you have me wanting to teach a class." It would probably border on ridiculous as well. "Something with weapons and magic."

In crazy places.

"Dooooo itttt! If they let me teach, they'll let anybody teach."

Which had been what she said last year when they gave her her diploma, too.

"I mean, you get an Office! How trippy is that?"

"Well, I do have an actual degree, so I don't see why not."

They gave nearly everyone a diploma here. "And seriously, neither one of us could be as bad as Maddox was."

He'd never make his class lick a door handle or eat five pounds of bacon.

Kenzi cackled in remembrance. "Something to aspire to, though, tell me it's not." That stealing-of-art-projects because Mr. Maddox had pissed off Mr. Caffrey was awesome.

"Aspire to be better, or worse, in the 'causing the administration headaches' though?"

Because there was a big difference there. "And honestly, as long as all our students live through the experience, I don't see how we could be worse."
