Sexual Health : Thursday

"Okay, guys, one more lesson and then you're totally done with me," Mindy announced. "There's not going to be a final for this class, so no need to come in next week. Today we're just going to talk about one of the most important concepts to keep in mind with regard to sexuality, and that's consent."

"As I'm sure all of you horny little weirdos are well aware, sexual behavior is super intimate and really personal. So, whenever physical intimacy is in the picture, it is critical to be sure that your partner is on the same page and consents to whatever you're doing together. That doesn't just mean paying attention to any interruptions and listening for a 'no,' but it's more like actively checking to make sure you're both into it. Just ask."

Mindy went on to explain various factors that could make consent harder to gauge, like intoxication, pressuring environments and personal histories.

"Basically, just know that your partner's body isn't yours, so you don't get to just go to town on it without permission, you know? That sounded gross aloud. I am way older than you guys," Mindy noted. "Anyway, that's today's whole lesson, but if you want to stick around and ask me or each other questions, feel free. Otherwise, it's been a great class and grab a condom on your way out. Jackson, you should probably grab, like, five."

He looked like he needed them the most.

Eleanor was taking copious notes. She was actually sexually active* now; she ought to know these things.

*She had kissed a boy on multiple occasions. Using tongue.

As usual, Jackson barely listened to Mindy because that was just his style. But he did focus a bit more at hearing his name.

... He wasn't sure whether to be flattered or what.
