Self-Expression- Monday- 4th period

Class was in the Danger Shop today, which was done up to look like a small gym. Kitty had figured that there would be more than enough room, plus anyone who had to deal with small children could take them off to the side if there were any problems.

With her was Lexi, who looked really pretty excited about being in class. "Hey, everyone," Kitty said. "Once again the usual plan got thrown out because of Fandom, but that's okay. For anyone new in here, I'm Kitty and this is Lexi, and today we're going to work on self-expression through a dance party. Yes, you have to. Don't be shy, we're here to have fun today."

And then she hit play on the totally safe, kid-friendly pop music and you all were just going to have to deal with it.

Eleanor was hanging back, and observing. It wasn't everyone else who had children, just most of them. She didn't know if that made her feel better or not.

"You're really tall," Margaret told her as she wandered over, staring up at Eleanor.

"Be polite, Margaret," Celia admonished her. "Miss Eleanor knows how tall she is."

This had to be Celia's child; she had the same face. The same dark curls.

"I am very tall," she said. "Some days, I get clouds in my hair. It's very nice to meet you, Miss Margaret."

"Clouds?" Margaret asked, wide-eyed. "I've never touched a cloud. Daddy says that when you try, you break the cloud, anyway. They don't want us to touch them."

"We don't know who 'Daddy' is," Celia added.

"He's Daddy!"

"Yes, exactly."

"You have to talk nicely to clouds, so they don't break up when you touch them," Eleanor said. What? Scientific facts were overrated. Children deserved imaginative answers.

She caught her friend's eyes and quickly understood the dilemma: here was a future child, and no information on his other parent. She would want to know, herself.

"Do you think your Daddy is as tall as I am?" she asked with a frown. "I suppose he's handsome."

"He's the handsomest man ever," Margaret told her, which had Celia eyeing her curiously. This was already more than she'd gotten from her. "He's probably as tall as you? Sometimes I get t'ride on his shoulders and it's so high. Not as high as when Mama makes me fly, though."

"I make you fly?" Celia repeated, warily.

"Uh huh. And you haven't since I've been here." Margaret added sadly.

"If she made you fly, all of the other children might become jealous," Eleanor said judiciously. "It's best saved for when you're home again."

In case Celia had yet to master that particular skill.

"I bet his hair isn't as dark as mine," she added. "Even your hair isn't as dark as mine."

"It's pretty dark," Margaret said, tilting her head. "Mama's got black hair there, too."

Celia raised a brow at that. Evidently future-her had darkened her hair for...some purpose.

"Yours is darker, though. Daddy's is more like mine," Margaret decided. "But not curly!"

So Celia had dyed her hair, in the future. Intriguing.

"Certainly not curly," Eleanor said. "Is he a good sort of Daddy? Is he kind to you and Mama?"

"Yes! He's the very best Daddy," Margaret told her excitably, jumping a little. "We go on lots of adventures!"

"Where to?" Celia asked, hoping to get more information out of her.

"Mama, you were there! Don't be silly."
