Handling Your Powers, Tuesday
"Today, I wanted to talk about daily life applications of your powers," Kaidan said. "Some of you rely on them like that already, some of you don't... some of you might not have to. Still, it's a good exercise in restraint, if nothing else."
"So I've set up a... training course, I guess you could call it. You don't need to do everything - just touch on the stuff you know you can do. You're not getting graded on this either. Just use it for practice."

Training Course - Ropes
Re: Training Course - Ropes
Nope, Evan was going to simply reach from one rope to the next. And, by the end of them, he even skipped every other rope, mostly to see how well he could manage it.
Decently well, really. His arms had a lot of stretch in them.
Re: Training Course - Ropes
And he did manage though it was slower than he would have liked.
Re: Training Course - Ropes
Did that count? It felt a bit like cheating.
Re: Training Course - Ropes
A little bit of momentum on the ropes and--there! She was sailing from one rope to another and grinning.
The first rope she grabbed onto perfectly. The second one, she fumbled a little, but caught. The third one, no problem. The fourth--
The fourth she didn't catch at all.
With a yelp, she plummeted to the ground. She tried to relax, tried to remember everything she'd learned about the best way to fall, but that was actually pretty tough to recall when the floor was flinging itself toward her at high speeds.
She closed her eyes when she was about to hit, praying that she'd be okay, that she wouldn't break anything, spraining was completely and totally fine, just please don't let her break anything...
And then she bounced.
There was a second of jarring, painful impact and she was pretty sure she'd wrenched her ankle or something, but the fact that she was sailing through the air in the opposite direction again was really what caught her focus. She bounced up to the ceiling, completely forgetting to grab onto the rope because sAKJHGDakjh bouncing?, then bounced off of that and went flying at a slightly different angle.
Four more times Kathy bounced like a tennis ball against the ceiling, floor, and a nearby wall before finally coming to a stop on the ground next to the clay. And then promptly burst into tears.
Yeah, this was embarrassing.

Training Course - Drinks
Get the glass without using your hands-- or at least using them the normal way.
Re: Training Course - Drinks
Re: Training Course - Drinks
Will reached out, found the glasses with his mind, gripped them and brought one back right into his hand. It hadn't even winded him.
Re: Training Course - Drinks
When she tried it slower, her aim was still off. She could bring it generally towards her, but not to her outstretched hand.
She managed once to snag it with her fingers, only to tip it over in grasping it.
Never mind. She wasn't thirsty anyway.

Training Course - Shooting Range
There's a line of cans set up and, in some places, stacked up on the other side of this range. Use your powers to hit each in turn.
Re: Training Course - Shooting Range
Tin cans were way more relaxing to shoot at than unicorn killers.
Re: Training Course - Shooting Range
Re: Training Course - Shooting Range
Fireballs were just so intuitive to aim.

Training Course - Ceiling Targets
Try and hit the targets.

Training Course - Clay
For those with more creative powers, they could try and mimic it.
