Self-Expression- Monday- 4th period
"When you signed up for this class- assuming you actually signed up for it- you prooobably figured that there would be some kind of public speaking involved," Kitty began when everyone had gotten to the classroom. "For those of you who hate this sort of thing... sorry. But the point of this is to try and get you guys to express yourselves the way you want to, so we're going to start out slow.
"How you talk and what you say is how most people are going to figure who you are. And it can be completely nervewracking to communicate with people, I know. Especially if you're naturally quiet, or not comfortable in a situation, or have trouble finding the right words to get your point across. So let's share some tips. What makes it easier to talk to people, especially in a setting like this one? And then once we've dished, we're going to do a little bit of that speaking. So let's start with you."

Re: Speaking
"I really don't like the cold!" he said vehemently. "I mean, I'm from a desert. And sure, the nights can get pretty cold, but you can always stay inside. Plus the ground stays pretty warm from the day's sunlight and the radiation."
Maybe that part was just Night Vale.
"Anyway, when you're out and doing things during the day, it's nice and warm and dry, and you don't need - ugh - like, a zillion layers just to keep from freezing! You can still move around, and it takes a lot less time to get ready, and it's really just much more pleasant!"
...he could probably go on, but he suspected his minute was up.
