Self-Expression- Monday- 4th period

"When you signed up for this class- assuming you actually signed up for it- you prooobably figured that there would be some kind of public speaking involved," Kitty began when everyone had gotten to the classroom. "For those of you who hate this sort of thing... sorry. But the point of this is to try and get you guys to express yourselves the way you want to, so we're going to start out slow.

"How you talk and what you say is how most people are going to figure who you are. And it can be completely nervewracking to communicate with people, I know. Especially if you're naturally quiet, or not comfortable in a situation, or have trouble finding the right words to get your point across. So let's share some tips. What makes it easier to talk to people, especially in a setting like this one? And then once we've dished, we're going to do a little bit of that speaking. So let's start with you."

"I don't mind speaking in public but I tend to just remember that half the time I'll never see these people again," he started. "And if I do, it'll be for brief periods of time and they'll forget if I made any mistake like ten minutes later because attention spans are crap these days."
