Library [12/14]

The library was seeming more and more like a second home to people this week, so Cassidy was on hand, trying to make sure that everyone AND the books had everything that they might need. With everything that was going on, she was feeling more stressed than usual and everyone else's psychic scents of how they were feeling probably wasn't helping her own.

Even so, she was her usual efficient and smiling self -- even if the smile was a bit forced today. The "No Guns in the Library" sign and box were on display and unblocked by any books that might be left laying around for the few minutes it took for Cassidy to whisk them away to where they belonged. There was a large kettle of tea that was being kept warm by a small tongue of witch fire on her desk and several kinds of pastries for the researchers or anyone else who wanted them.

"I require no further assistance," Dr. Tannis replied, barely looking up from the pictures now coming up on her screens. She'd been right, they were fascinating. "There is an attack to happen on the Vault site later today. They will need everyone there."

Or maybe he should sleep.

Well, not all of them. Mike had plenty of shots of skags and bullymongs in there, because she never bothered telling him what to look for.

A full-on attack didn't sound like a smart idea to Mike, to be honest. "I'll think about it."

Well, it wasn't like Tannis was in danger. As much scorn and vengeful hatred as she had in her heart for Jack.
