Library [12/14]

The library was seeming more and more like a second home to people this week, so Cassidy was on hand, trying to make sure that everyone AND the books had everything that they might need. With everything that was going on, she was feeling more stressed than usual and everyone else's psychic scents of how they were feeling probably wasn't helping her own.

Even so, she was her usual efficient and smiling self -- even if the smile was a bit forced today. The "No Guns in the Library" sign and box were on display and unblocked by any books that might be left laying around for the few minutes it took for Cassidy to whisk them away to where they belonged. There was a large kettle of tea that was being kept warm by a small tongue of witch fire on her desk and several kinds of pastries for the researchers or anyone else who wanted them.

It was later on in the afternoon and well, it was about time for the attack soon, wasn't it? Nothing left to do but put on some finishing touches. Perhaps something a little more frivolous, but which would still show Jack and Hyperion they meant business.

Ah, yes, Tannis' readings gave her just the thing.

"Excuse me," she called out, selecting a person at random again because that had worked well so far. "You there, girl, would you like to go perform scientist-approved acts of vandalism?"

"That is such a silly question for anyone, I can hardly believe it." Kenzi cracked her knuckles. "Point me at the vandalizing!"

That attitude was a pleasant surprise, especially after Derek and his need for reasons, ugh. Not that it had been hard to convince him, either. But still. The principle!

"Excellent," she said. "I have seen indication that there are several oversized posters of Handsome Jack and the Hyperion corporation around your town. My suggestion is that you go and do something about those. To add insult to the injury of the attack on the Vault site, as it were."

"Distraction and destruction a specialty, Doc." Kenzi bounced gleefully on her toes. "Anything we should know about those in particular? Cameras or alarms?"

"None that I have been able to detect," Tannis replied, shaking her head. "I do not think they bothered. Jack's awfully cocky like that."

Kenzi saluted. "Then let me just get a crew together. And we'll be making a ruckus as soon as we can."

Tannis pressed a few buttons, and the printer next to her screen in the library began to print out yet another map of the town, with the poster locations marked in red.

"Good. Take the map, it should guide you where you should make this... 'ruckus'."
