"Hello, class," Anakin said. "In honor of getting things out of my refrigerator at home from Thanksgiving, I come bearing pie that my wife's grandmother's...housekeeper prepared for Thanksgiving."
Because Emily Gilmore didn't cook, thank you very much.
"Now onto a new subject," he said. "Around this time of year, people begin wishing each other a Happy Holidays or a Merry Christmas. There are a group of extremely humorless people who insist that saying anything other than Merry Christmas is somehow a 'war on Christmas.' These people have clearly never actually seen a war. One of the holidays that happen during the winter--Hannukah--is already almost over. Does that mean you can say Merry Christmas and hope you aren't inadvertently offending those who celebrate Yule or Kwanzaa or Boonta Eve?"
Shut up, Boonta Eve was a legitimate holiday. So was Life Day.
"Or do you stick with Happy Holidays? Or do you not care and think people should be glad you were pleasant at all after dealing with crowded shopping centers and crying, sticky children?"
Anakin was firmly in that last camp.
