"Thursday is Thanksgiving and those of you who are from this country and dimension are probably already looking forward to turkey, pie, and politely strained political discussion with a crazy relative or three." Anakin arched up an eyebrow. "For those of you not from here, Thursday is Thanksgiving and there will be massive amounts of free food to celebrate all that we have received this year. Now there are plenty of ethical dilemmas at a big family gathering: how many servings of pie can you have before people talk about you? If you invite someone home, are you obliged to marry them? How many times can a cousin say something derogatory about a political party, religious group or celebratory before you can 'accidentally' spill wine down their back? And most importantly, How many leftovers can you take back to your room without getting the eyebrow from Principal Winchester?"

"For the pie question, it's one serving less than however many servings of pie I can have before I have to smack someone for complaining about my pie eating habits," Mira offered. "And honestly, the rest of my answers are along those lines, with a touch of mentioning that I'm a war orphan. Except for the question about Principal Winchester, who is a fair and just principal."

"So I guess that a question about whether hitting people is appropriate has already answered itself," Anakin said, looking amused.

"Answered and encouraged. If things get messy enough, I might even be able to pull in a few credits, either for breaking up a fight or tracking somebody who stormed out after one," Mora said. "The holidays are good to me."

Anakin laughed. "Fair enough. I don't suppose you're spending the extra credits on presents."

"Honestly, it would probably go to helping me track down other people for the holidays," Mira said. "Bringing families together, that is, not hunting down bounties. It's something I like to do around Life Day."

Anakin looked strangely touched by that. "You do that?"

"You sound surprised," Mira noted.

"The Mandalorians I've been in contact with weren't like that."

At allllll.

"You probably haven't been in contact with too many teenage Mandalorians who weren't born into it," Mira said. "We tend not to be Orthodox."

Before he heads to Connecticut for Thanksgiving!

Grocery shopping is mostly finished! Pumpkin is roasted! Sweet potatoes are...nowhere to be found.
