Cranberry sauce.
Evan was coming to the realization, less than a week away from Thanksgiving, that helping his Ma make cranberry sauce in a virtual reality that might or might not have been even remotely accurate, and then assuming that he knew how to properly make it himself as a result, was probably going to reflect poorly on him in a few days if he just happened to go by what he thought was the proper way to prepare it. He could just give in, buy that weird jelly stuff in the can and bring that to the StuCo potluck thing, but that felt way too much like cheating.
... Plus, he didn't trust anything that jiggled in the bowl while holding the tin can shape. There was no way that could possibly be safe for human consumption.
So today during his library shift, he was alternating between putting books away and comparing notes he made - a small stack worth - from various cookbooks he'd taken from the shelves. He was not going to mess up this cranberry sauce. He was not.
