Science You Cannot Possibly Comprehend, Monday, Period 5
"Force fields," Doom said, before launching into a very, very in-depth lecture of how to create energy fields that projected outward force, much like his own.
About midway through the lecture, Doom picked a steel plate from his desk and - without pausing the lecture itself - held it up. A laser turret suddenly lowered from the ceiling and fired a steady beam that burned through the plate in seconds. Doom handed it to a random student seated toward the front of the room and gestured for them to pass it around as proof of the laser's power. He then walked directly into the path of the laser, which changed direction suddenly several inches from his armor and hit the floor to his left. A slight shimmer could be seen on occasion as the focused beam continued to bounce harmlessly off his force field (and then harmfully hitting a padded floor).
Again. Doom did not flinch and he did not stop lecturing for even a moment during any of this.
"You will find that a stable field - presumably spherical in shape - is the simplest to maintain and I would recommend that should you choose to build your own force field projectors during the remainder of class, you limit yourselves in such a way," Doom cautioned. "Should you attempt a malleable field that moves as you do, your failure will at least be of interest."
"Due to your school's continued desire to throw countless dollars at your education rather than use the money toward a useful goal, your force fields will be protecting steel plates and not yourselves," Doom said. "If you choose to test your own hubris outside of class, that is on your."
"As an alternate suggestion, if you have no interest in testing your own scientific prowess, I will allow you to test my own," Doom said as the laser beam finally abated. "My personal force field is active and has surely been weakened by the continued assault of the laser that I only just ended. If you so choose, you may attack me at any point - or constantly - for the remaining half hour in an attempt to pierce my force field. Physical assaults, energy blasts, removing and modifying the laser mounted to the ceiling, thrown debris from your work stations... Whatever is available to you in this lab, you may attack me with. Although I must recommend you do not attempt any psychic attacks or magical curses that would not engage the force field. I have other protections prepared for those at all times, and those protections are savage."
"If you do choose to assault Doom, know that it will be without physical, academic, and disciplinary repreisal. However, choosing such action will rob you of precious time to attempt something you might actually accomplish."

Build a Force Field Projector
Everything you need for this experiment is already at your work stations.
Re: Build a Force Field Projector
Should be easy, right?
Re: Build a Force Field Projector
Attack Doom
It should be noted that his force field had survived blows from the Hulk and Thor's enchanted hammer, Mjolnir. You would fail, even if you built a device to disrupt energy fields. Because science.
But this might be good for getting out aggression, at least until you realized he wasn't likely to move under your greatest assault.
Re: Attack Doom
But honestly, he was much more curious about things than good at science. So he was going to poke at the force field a bit, try and shove it, and maybe play radio at it. Just to see.
Speak to Loki
Speak to Doom

If anyone has a compelling argument for puncturing Doom's force field, please e-mail me. But the answer is probably going to be no. Just FYI.
I sleep now.
