While it was true that even in William's time, Guy Fawkes Day had lost much of the anti-Catholic sentiment it had once held, it still wasn't his favourite holiday. So shortly before entering the library, he'd taken a moment to steel himself for what was surely a raucous celebration happening inside. With a deep breath, he pushed open the door...
only to find that instead of bonfires and fireworks, there was instead softly-falling snow. Which disappeared before it actually hit any surface, thankfully. William didn't necessarily want to deal with moisture-damaged books, or having to shovel snow.
