Cultural Exploration [Friday, 2nd Period]

When the students made their way through the portal at Portalocity today, they would find themselves in some nice, mild weather.

"Hey guys, welcome to Mexico," Clint said. "For some of us, the day after Halloween is just half-price candy day, but it's also a pretty important holiday to a lot of folks around the world. Some call it All Saint's Day, and here in Mexico it's Dia De Los Muertos, but no matter what you call it, it's all about remembering friends and family members who have died. I hope some of you are lucky enough that you don't have anyone to think about, but if you've got someone to remember, today might be a good time to do so. If nothing else, check out the festivities, and make sure you eat at least one sugar skull." They were only a little creepy!

This was a tough holiday for Rilla to sit through, so she distracted herself by keeping moving, trying not to dwell too long on any one thing.

Jim could deal with a parade. Hey, he fully expected a parade one day in his honor so it was good practice to watch one now.
