Valentine's Day Dance. The Gym. 8.30 pm

The gym was decorated, the DJs were playing, and the punch was not yet spiked.

Fandom High's Valentine's Day Dance had begun.

Marty leads Angela to the dance floor and suddenly feels almost shy as he assumes a somewhat formal dance position with her.

"Suddenly I'm flashing back to homecoming," he says with a grin.

"We haven't really danced since then," Angela agreed. "Except New Years, and that was more ... swaying."

"I haven;t heard this song in forever."

"Hmmm. I haven't heard this song in a while either," Marty said moving slowly to the music. "And it has been a while since we truly danced. We should make an effort to do this more often."

"There aren't many good places to dance in town," Angela said, looping her arms around his neck. "Though I guess we could just do it ... whenever."

"There's a couple of places we could find," Marty said softly in her ear. "Once the weather warms up all we need is a cd player and the roof. How does that sound?"

Marty then fought the impulse to lean over and gently kiss her neck.

He lost.

Angela whimpers, just a little.

And nibbles at his earlobe delicately. Since her head's all tilted back and stuff.

Marty exhales softly and slowly slips his arms around Angela's waist.

"Do you have any idea how much I've missed holding you like this?"

Angela choked. And blinked rapidly. "Almost as much as I've missed holding you?" she whispered. "I was really an idiot to try to let you go."

"And I was a complete moron for taking you for granted," Marty said and then leaned in and kissed her gently on the lips.

Angela forgot: the song, dancing, everyone else in the room, and an itch in her back that had been driving her mad.

She concentrated on the kiss.

"You're forgiven," she whispered, when it was over. "Am I?"

He leans over and kisses Angela on her forehead.

"I love you."
