When the students arrived at the Danger Shop, they'd find a typed note from Clint (because spell check was a wonderful thing, as was people being able to actually decipher the note):

Hey guys, Portalocity is overloaded today with people coming for the weekend so class is cancelled. Have fun at the carnival (avoid the dunk tanks nothing good is there) and don't do bad things at the dance.
