Driver's Ed, Feb 17th (1st-2nd period)

The Danger Shop is set up to look like... well, like the bumper cars ride at a fair. There's even a cotton candy machine near the entrance.

"I know a lot of classes are having midterms right now, so I thought maybe you guys could use a break," Tommy says, by way of explanation. "Have fun."

Cally signs in. Seriously.

Anders comes charging at this person who's wearing his body (thanks to Zero for pointing that out (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/653120.html?thread=30785088#t30785088)) and grabs himself by the shoulders -- seriously weird. "Mine. I don't know how the hell you did it, but gimme my frakkin' body back!"

Cally simply throws her arms around Anders and holds tightly, her eyes starting to tear up. "I don't know how it happened. I just don't know."

"Okay, I know who you are." Tommy says, pointing at Cally. "But who are you and why are you here in my class?"

"Me?" Anders stares and then starts to flail helplessly, pointing at Cally. "I'm -- okay, I usually look like that! That's me! Except I'm me today, but I'm really not!"

*Hamlet looks over from where he's signing in for class.*

I see you're odder than usual today, Bridge. Envious of Anders?

The look Anders shoots back clearly says Et tu, Hammie? "Dude. I am Anders. And I have no idea yet who the frak is walking around wearing my body!"

"Okay, hey!" objects Anders, trying to pull back, but apparently he's stronger than he realized, or at least he is in his usual body. "Are you me, too? What the frak?"

"Gods, Champ, it's me," Cally bites her lower lip. "Even though we don't look right, it's us, right?"

Nobody else calls him that. "Coach?" he asks disbelievingly, and very weirded out by having to look up to talk to Cally. "Cally, is that you? How did you get there? And how did I end up -- and where the frak is Bridge?"

"He's, erm, in me. But not, in like, that way," Cally says. "Erm, he's in our bed. Asleep."

"Bridge is sleeping in our bed," Anders repeats slowly. Very slowly. And then he says it again just to make sure. "And he looks like you."

Four months ago he might have freaked out. Now, he just sighs and says, "Well, that explains me waking up by myself, then. That sucked."

"Yeah," Cally says. "This'll work out, though. Just a... temporary set back."

"How temporary is temporary? We don't even know how this happened?" Anders slumps forward to lean his head on Cally's shoulder, only at the moment, it ends up being more like bumping his head right into her very not-feminine-at-all chest. "This better be temporary."

"Well, if it doesn't just, like, go away? We'll ask the teachers or someone. Somebody's gotta know about this sorta thing." Cally shrugs. "But for now? I think we might want to, maybe... do the class thing."

"Right. Class. Because this is probably not an excuse to get out of it." Anders nods and heads toward a bumper car. "Just, um, watch your ribs. My ribs. The cracked ones. Okay?"

Anders signs in. For real. ~~And cannot use the Vroom Vroom icon this week WOE.~~

Zero leaned toward, er, Anders. "Erm, Bridgey? Are you in this class?"

"Hey, Zero." Anders rubbed a gloveless hand over his face and smiled embarrassedly. "It's me, Daisy. I mean, Anders."

Zero looks confused. It's far too early in the morning for this. "Right. You're Daisy...does that mean you're Bridge? I mean." She flails in the general direction of Anders's body. "Who's that?"

Anders stares for a very long time. "Good question. I don't have a clue."

Then he charges (http://community.livejournal.com/fandomhigh/653120.html?thread=30820416#t30820416). Which is quite possibly stupid, but hey.

Zero signs in!

Rose signs in.

Barbossa got into one of the cars, pushed down on the food pedals with gleeful abandon and ended up stuck in a corner in less than ten seconds.

Go team pirate.

Rose snaps a couple of pictures for Journalism.

Anders in no way "accidentally" took advantage of Barbossa's predicament to vent a little bit of frustration by "accidentally" ramming into that particular corner a few too many times.

"Ahoy, Bridge! What be yer problem?" Barbossa asked.

"My legs are too short," Anders complained. "Not used to it. And I'm not Bridge," he added, looking plaintively at Barbossa.

Barbossa wrinkled his forehead. "Ye sure be lookin' like Bridge."

Anders banged his head into the steering wheel. "I know! It was a surprise to me too when I woke up, okay?"

Barbossa was still stuck in a corner. "Um. Be ye nippin' into me stash o' rum at the station, Bridge?"

"Dude! No!" Anders pulled his bumper car up next to Barbossa's and, after a few moments' helpless flailing to reach the pedal, jammed on the brake, pointing over at Cally-in-his-body. "I swear, it's me, Anders! And Cally looks like what I usually do!"

Barbossa blinked. "Uh-huh."

"That's what I said," grumbled Anders. "This is not fun, dude."

"So...ye be Bridge-who-should-be-Anders, then?"

Anders groaned and banged his forehead into the steering wheel again. "Sadly? Yes. Or it might be the other way around?"

"Don't be whackin' yer head too hard," Barbossa warned. "I be knowin' a pirate named Splinter Forehead Johnson who be gettin' that name after a night o' drinkin' and a bit o' a run-in wit' the wheel."

Anders had to admit Barbossa was right, if for no other reason than that he was now pretty disoriented. "Right. I'll keep that in mind, dude," he said, weakly giving Barbossa a thumbs-up and puttering off to find someone else to ram.

Rose hops in her bumper car and takes off!

*Hamlet gets in one of the cars, but can't seem to figure out quite how it works. He spins in circles for a couple of minutes, before wildly careening all over the track and smacking into people without trying.

There's a good reason he has a driver back home.*
