Cultural Exploration [Friday, 2nd Period]

Clint had directed the students to come to one of the classrooms today, where they'd find a bunch of books laid out about Italian culture, things to do in Tuscany, and translating phrases from English to Italian.

"It seemed a little weird to go somewhere when most of us are about to go somewhere for a whole week," Clint explained, "so I figured it would be a good idea to use this time to prepare for the fall break trip. The best trips are the ones you're at least somewhat prepared for, so find some things you might want to do while we're away, or figure out how to say a few things in Italian. Phrases that might get you out of trouble are always a good idea." Not that Clint knew that from experience or anything.

Rilla, even though she wasn't going on the trip, was trying to learn how to pronounce "Why does the fish still have its eyeballs?"

That could come in handy in other places, right?

After these past few weeks, Jim was happy to be getting away. He was quietly reading through the guidebooks to try and pick up some of the language.
