Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.
Seriously Fandom, wtf flower crowns?
Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.
[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies!]

Re: General Lurky Lurking [Fall 2013]
She alternated between grazing at the buffet tables and retreating to the edge of the grounds with her food, occasionally sneaking a curious (and slightly envious) glance at the students but generally affecting a disinterested air. Every now and then she'd reach up and adjust the flower crown on her head, singing fragments of random melodies in her guttural voice.
[OOC: Pingable, but subject to SP since I have to run out and do errands shortly.]
Re: General Lurky Lurking [Fall 2013]
"Look at all the new suckers." She sighed a little sentimentally. "Should I start fleecing them now, or wait 'til they come into Caritas?"

"Of all the places to end up!" she managed between raspy laughs. "But I am glad you're staying, I am. Yes, I know where the place is, and of course I'll stop by."
Did she sound happy about that? Yes. Being invited anywhere socially was still exciting.

Éponine adjusted the flowers on her head again, with an unconscious flourish. "What's it look like inside? Nicer than my place, I hope."

She glanced toward where most of the students seemed to be gathered, distractedly humming, then asked as if she'd completely forgotten the previous conversation:
"Are you going to miss being in school?"
Re: General Lurky Lurking [Fall 2013]
"Tchah, no." That was automatic, then Kenzi thought about it. "...a little? Which, wow, I never ever thought I'd say that, but. The classes here, at least, were fun. And useful. I guess learning stuff is okay if it comes in handy." She tilted her head, studying Éponine. "Why d'you ask?"
Re: General Lurky Lurking [Fall 2013]
She broke off and laughed, a little too brazenly. "Well, never mind that."

"Although," she added after a brief pause, I think I might like learning to draw."
