Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Seriously Fandom, wtf flower crowns?

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies!]

Hey. Stiles had been the harass-er in that scenario. Derek was an innocent victim!

"You look horrible."

See what happens when Derek had enough time to force himself back into normal mode by ruthlessly crushing hopes and dreams?

"Uh, have you seen what's on top of your head, asshole?" Though he had to admit Derek looked better in a flower crown.

That's because Derek was a flower king.

Derek shot him a look that said Stiles so wasn't tricking him into a fight. Not unless he put in some real effort. None of this half-assed crap.

"You just came up and insulted me." That was not how people greeted each other, Derek!

Derek sighed because this was way too much work. Caring was the worst thing ever.

"You look tired," he amended.

"I've had kind of a rough week." Sure, let's go with that.

"You stole my bed and dog." Why aren't you sleeping well, you little shit?

"Your bed and your dog isn't some magical ambien," Stiles said. "Not that I don't appreciate being in there."

"They worked before." Possibly due to completely inappropriate snuggling.

"I think this week has been a little more traumatizing than the stuff that happened before," Stiles said. "I can handle it, Derek."

He was only saying that because he hadn't had the disturbing sex dreams yet.

"Fine." YOU CAN LEAVE HIS BED ALONE THEN. "Your flowers look terrible."

HE WOULD LEAVE YOUR BED WHEN HE WAS GOOD AND READY.

"Your face looks terrible." Burn.

"No it doesn't." HE KNEW OBJECTIVELY HE WAS HOT, STILES. OH, HE KNEW.

"So does." Oh what a lie. "You're totally fugly."

Stiles. Stiles, he could hear you lie.

He refused to acknowledge that. "Don't cry yourself to sleep over it. I'm just one opinion, man."

"Met your friend." Less than impressed by your taste, Stiles. Less than impressed.

"He's not my friend." He and Isaac agreed on that wholeheartedly.

"Good." Good. "We're going to Denny's tonight."

This was him forcing you to be get better. Forcing.

"Uh. Okay?" You were so freaking weird, Derek. "What if our crowns don't come off once we leave the island?"

"...do you really think people will question it?" Look how fabulous they looked. Just look.

"Well, no. People there probably expect that from us by now," he said. "Why are we going to Denny's again? Isaac couldn't have pissed you off that badly, he's not even wearing a scarf today."

The scarf flipping made everything he sad sassier.

"What does a scarf have to do with anything?" ISAAC SEEMED LIKE HE SHOULDN'T WEAR SCARVES. THEY WOULD RUIN HIS LOOK WITH BITCHY.

"I don't know, man, for some reason his sass goes up when he wears one," Stiles said. "It's like the Jackson effect or something."

"I think I like Jackson better." Whoa. Whoa, Derek. Let's not say things we can't take back.
