Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Seriously Fandom, wtf flower crowns?

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies!]

Despite multiple attempts of removal, the crown on Raleigh's head stayed in place. The only thing he had going for him was that at least it wasn't as big as some of the other crowns.

Stupid flowers.

"It's gonna karking stay there," Cade said. "At least for today."

"Karking?" Couldn't people have a unified slang?

But then how would they learn all of the new, fun fake words?

"It doesn't mean anything polite," Cade offered dryly. "But the flowers will probably go away tomorrow."

SIGH, CADE.

"Everyone keeps saying that." But Raleigh was having trouble buying it. All things considered.

"Most of the weirdness lasts a weekend at most," Cade said, nodding.

"Like..." What had someone mentioned. "Turning into a girl?"

Just in case it was a joke. Just in case.

Cade nodded. "Yeah, that happened to me my second week here last year. I was hot, at least. Turning into an ugly girl would have been way worse."

Raleigh stared for a moment. "Yeah, I can see how that would suck."

"Instead we threw ourselves a beach party," Cade said with a philosophical shrug.

"While being a girl." You know, Raleigh wasn't finding a flaw in that.

"Well, when you're suddenly a hot girl, you know...bikinis," Cade said. Because that was logical, right?

"Yeah, but then you have to wear a bikini." He was from Alaska, Cade. That sounded very uncomfortable.

"How else would everyone know how great my breasts were?" Cade asked pragmatically.

"I don't know if I'd want people knowing that about me." Because it was weird for one. Also breasts.

"Maybe you won't have great breasts," Cade said. "It happens."

What was this conversation topic, Cade.

Breasts.

"I don't even want them to begin with!"

"Well, you might not get a choice about that," Cade said. "I'm Cade, by the way. Who are you?"

"Raleigh." Which they probably should have known about each other before boobs were discussed.

Maaaaaybe.

"Where are you living?" Cade asked. "Did you get a hot roommate? Mine is a weird-looking guy."

Sorry, Stiles.

"Well," Raleigh looked over at Isabelle. He also got a Type A roommate, Cade.

"Niiiiiice," Cade said, grinning. "Good work."

"I think she's going to eat me alive." Save hiiiiiim.

"Dirty?" Cade asked hopefully.

Not in the slightest. Except what she'd get stuck between her teeth.

"You think?"
