Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Seriously Fandom, wtf flower crowns?

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies!]

Sia and her flower crown were doing the mingle thing, standing off to the side with a drink and checking out the crowd. It was possible she was making sure no one else had her face and/or was going to try and kill her at any point. Okay, it was definite.

"What the kark is the deal with the hats?" Cade demanded, stomping over. "I've tried to take it off a dozen times."

"Obviously it's a Fandom thing," Sia said calmly. "Like everything else strange that happens here, it will probably just fall off once the day is over."

"Shampooing today was a real karking experience," Cade complained.

"I think everyone would have given you a pass if you'd skipped that step," Sia told him.

"But it was time for my monthly bath," Cade said, arching his eyebrows.

"Then waiting one more day wouldn't have made much difference, would it?" She hoped he was joking, but.

"Oh, I'm very particular," Cade lied.

"I bet you are," Sia lied right back.

"Hey, Si," Atton said, his own flower crown sitting on his head at a casual kind of angle he was going to pretend was intentional. Or something. "Does the island hate us or what?"

"Oh, definitely," she agreed. "That's a good look on you."

"Ugh," Atton said, pulling at it. It just slid right back into place. "You look charming too, princess."

"Princesses do need their crowns, after all." She didn't actually have a crown for real, but it didn't work to say that. "At least it isn't raining anything."

"I'm not sure this is much better," Atton muttered. "If I was one of these kids? I'd be running."

"It's only flowers," Sia pointed out. "It could be so much worse."

"I didn't realize we were grading on a curve here," Atton said. "It's still stupid as the get-out."

"Stupid, yes, but I always feel lucky when something doesn't outright invade on the day of the picnic. I can deal with flowers." Because it looked good on her.

Stupid princesses. Everything looked good on them.

"You don't call this invading?" Atton asked, poking at his flowers. Because he was Atton, and at this point he was just complaining for the sake of it.

"No, I call it forced accessorizing," Sia said.

"Would you ever wear anything like this? Voluntarily?"

"Of course not. I feel like I'll attract bees."

A headpiece in the style of this, maybe, because Star Wars had some weird fashions.

Atton was quiet for all of five seconds - nice work, Sia. "Bees," he said finally. "I look like an idiot and I'm probably attracting bees."

"If it helps, so is everyone else here," Sia pointed out.

"Oh, great," Atton replied. "We're going to summon a whole swarm. That really settles my nerves."

"I wasn't aware you had a problem with bees," Sia said, actually kind of sorry about that.
