Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

Once again, the front lawn of the school had been set up to welcome the new students and teachers who were--assuming the bus trip went safely--arriving in Fandom for the first time. The goal was to create a friendly atmosphere to ease everyone into Fandom life, so the helpers had arranged the school's blue and gold tables everywhere, along with streamers and just a touch of glitter. Someday, the school would run out of glitter, but it would not be this day. There was also plenty of food to be shared next to the information tables, listing out siblings and teaching buddies and roommates, oh my.

Of course, no welcome picnic was allowed to run truly smoothly and the island, seemingly not wanting to miss out on the festivities, was blessing everyone with flower crowns. But hey, at least it wasn't raining something odd, right?

[OOC: This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic will be in post two in an effort to stop our browsers from dying. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers and townies!]

"As with all minor Fandom ailments, it should be gone tomorrow," Batman said. "If it isn't, I have a toxin that will remove a symbiotic plant from a person with no permanent damage to the host. But if it's simply local magic, it's best to let it run its course."

"So long as it remains harmless, I'll leave it," Hannibal agreed. He wasn't using any toxins he hadn't procured or mixed himself.

"If something like that lasts multiple days, it's usually the sign of something more sinister," Batman explained. "But we'll cross that bridge if we come to it."

"Or I'll cross the causeway to the mainland and let it go away," Hannibal pointed out.

"That only works if the flowers are based on the proximity to Fandom. Fandom magic is known to travel. And sometimes the more sinister issues prevent people from crossing the causeway," Batman explained.

Batman was just a ray of sunshine, wasn't he?

"Well, let's hope that isn't the case here, then."

"Like I said, it probably isn't," Batman said.

He was still going to stop to buy bulk spray bottles after the picnic. Just in case.
