Autolycus did not look the least bit worried as he greeted the class. Nope. Quick drying paint and large sheets of fabric and cardboard were laid out in front of the class.

"It has been brought to my atention that you are having a ~~fertility rite~~ Valentine's Dance tonight, which is in need of decoration."

"For this reason ~~and because I know what your StuCo President is capable of when she's in a mood~~, you're going to spend this class making those decorations."

"Your materials are set out, just remember to keep within the theme of love."

"Please pass the red paint." Parker's not sure if Zero's still not talking to her, but she's not going to act like it's bugging her. Even if it really, really is.

"One sec." Zero finishes daubing red on her 'Valentine's Day Is About Beheadings' banner and hands it off to Parker. "There y'go."

"Thank you." She eyes Zero's work, and says, "Ginger didn't call, hunh."

As long as Zero's saying things to her, she may as well push it a *little*....

"Nope. I'd call him a rat bastard, except I like Rat." Zero narrows her eyes at the banner. "He said it had to be about love, didn' he?"

So she adds a little 'insert' arrow and paints 'love and' before 'beheadings'.

"He did say that." Parker cocks an eyebrow at their teacher, smiles sweetly in case he's watching, then labels Zero's little cartoon 'the real truth' in Latin calligraphy. "I'm sorry Ginger's a flake. Want me to put him on the list with Jack O'Neill for beating-up assistance?"

"Flake, scum of the earth, s'all the same." Zero starts painting hearts. Anatomically correct hearts. "What's O'Neill gettin' tarantinoed for?"

"Flaking out so completely that his girlfriend didn't see him for a couple weeks, then he didn't even call her on V-Day. Carter's ditched him. I'm up for selling tickets if he tries to apologize, I think she dumped his answering machine." Parker dots blood dribbling from the anatomically correct heart. "So. Going to see the artwork tonight, or are you skipping the festivities, I'm guessing?"

"Hmm? Oh. No. I'm going. Sam promised a bitter corner."

"Maybe I'll join you guys there. After the punch is spiked." She looked down. "We okay?"

"You all could've died, and we would've known about it from the radio. But. I guess we're okay."

"It won't happen again. Ever." Parker passed her more black paint. "Put a little gallows on it for the guy."

"No, he's bein' beheaded." She paints an axeman instead. The axeman has a smiley face.

"I dub thee... Charlie. The Axe." Parker made a knighting motion toward the smiley-face executioner.

"Really? Y'think he's a Charlie? He looks like a Sparkles to me." Zero has weird ideas about names.

"If we had sparkles, it would be a stronger resemblance." Parker looked around, and grinned. "And what do you know? Glitter!"

"Swerval!" Luckily, the paint is still tacky, too. "D'you think Cal would let me take this one back to my room after the dance?"

"Why not? You did it, and it'll have served its timely purpose." She grinned. "And sadly, I don't think they'll appreciate it in the way you can."

Zero sniffed. "Philistines."
