Friendship is Always in Fashion, Thursday - Period 1

Pinkie had the phonograph set up in the class again today, and was softly humming to herself as she waited for the students to take their seats. Considering the fact that she was dressed like a 19th century can-can dancer, this miiiiight be slightly worrying.

Fortunately for everyone, she'd already promised not to perform any musical numbers. Pinkie Pie promised even. And you just did not break a Pinkie Pie promise.

(No. Really. You do not break a Pinkie Pie promise. You've been warned.)

What did it take to get her to promise that? Well, Derek was wearing his own dance-wear. Ballet slippers, and a pair of overly tight pants. Or were those actually tights? You know what? It was probably best to not ask.

Or stare too long.

"Today is about dance," he ground out, hating his life soooo muuuuuch.

Pinkie Pie nodded vigorously, but didn't open her mouth. If she did, she just might burst into song. She did hop up on her hind hooves and strike a pose, though.

Poses weren't musical numbers. It didn't count.

THEY WERE GETTING CLOSE, THOUGH.

Derek shuffled awkwardly from one slippered foot to the other. "Clothing in dance is meant to emphasize the movements or make them easier for the performer to complete."

Also? To show off that fabulous ass.

(The front end wasn't bad either, though it was maybe hard to tell how much of that was dance belt.)

Pinkie was practically vibrating. Visible sweat droplets dripped down her face. She really really wanted to sing and dance. Instead, she offered the class a disturbingly large grin and stuck out a leg to show off her fishnets, nodding along.

Luckily for her, Derek was pointing over to the selection of clothing they had assembled for all different varieties of dance for the students to try out. Yes, there was even a set to reenact FlashDance. You're welcome. "Get to work on an outfit before Pinkie explodes."

He might have meant that literally.
