Sentient Pets and You- Thursday- 4th period
Class was taking place in the Danger Shop today, and made up to look like a normal classroom. Sure, there were reasons for not just being in a normal classroom, but the truth was that Kitty had been dying to get her hands on this room for a year and a half.
So there were cookies set out, and a little purple dragon on her arm.
"Hey, everybody, welcome to Sentient Pets and You," she began, totally not nervous really. "For those you don't know me, I'm Kitty Pryde. You can call me whatever, I know that's not really important here or anything. So in this class we're going to be talking about having pets that might not be quite normal for this world, or, might be friends or significant others or whatever that you're taking care of for a week or so. Which is why I have this guy here. This is Lockheed. Say hello, Lockheed."
"Grawp!" Lockheed grawped, giving a very regal nod at the students before turning his attention toward the cookies.
"He meant hello," Kitty told the class, whether he did or not. "He's completely real, he's from outer space, and there used to be a little bit of an issue understanding what was going on with him, considering he was the only one like him around and you can't really go to a vet for things like this.
Lockheed was proud to be unique. So proud that he was going for a cookie right now. He lifted off from Kitty's arm and made a beeline for his cookie.
And right at that moment, a little purple blue guy- no, not a Smurf- grabbed it right before he got to it, and scurried off.
Lockheed sighed and gave Kitty the bitchiest purple space dragon bitchface possible. Really?
"Sorry, Lockheed. That's the way the cookie... runs away with a bamf," Kitty said, as the little blue mini-Kurts started popping up in other places, one for every one in the class. "These guys are bamfs. You're each going to have your own, and you're going to take care of them for class each week. So pick a bamf, and then I want you to go around the room to tell me your name, why you're taking this class, and what you named your bamf. Oh, and before I forget, Ryan's going to be your TA, but if you're also interested in a position, come see me after class."
