Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies.]

"One without karking space travel," Cade told her, sounding aggrieved. "Plus apparently they normal make sure you're old enough to drink and get tattoos, which I don't get."

"This is what I've been trying to tell people!" Mira said. "Are you from the same galaxy as me and whatshisface, Atton? Or are you from some other reasonable galaxy?"

Cade grinned. "That's mine, too, but in a different time from Atton. He's about five thousand years old in my timeline."

And suddenly the smile was gone, replaced by a look of confusion. "Wait, what?" Somebody didn't know about timelines yet!

"There are a few of us from our galaxy, but no one from the same time," Cade said. "It gets confusing. I suggest drinking."

But then drinking was Cade's go-to for a lot of problems.

Cade shrugged. "There aren't many girls from our galaxy here. Atton's not exactly my type."
