Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies.]

"At least you're honest about it," Sia said with a tiny smile. "Haven't met anyone yet?"

"There's another one from our universe," Atton said casually, nodding towards Mira. "I met that one."

"Any idea when she's from?" Sia asked, since she'd learned that that made a lot of difference to her.

"My time," Atton said casually. "So that's going to be interesting."

Hopefully she wouldn't poke too many holes in Atton's story, because that would be a real pain in the rear diodes.

Well, Sia could at least be relieved for herself. "If you don't know each other- or of each other- it gets less interesting," she assured him.

"At least now I've got someone to swap Nar Shaddaa war stories with," Atton said, shrugging lightly. "All of you lightsaber jockeys get real boring after a while."

"I suppose I'll have to make it a point to be more interesting then," she said.

"You could try giving me that look some more," Atton said. "You don't do that often enough."

"There was a look?" she asked.

"There's always a look," Atton said firmly.

"And what look is this?" She was genuinely curious.

"Your eyebrows kind of do this thing," Atton said, demonstrating. "And then your eyes do that thing, and then your nose sort of--"

It was a very distinctive Look.

She tried to give him that look based on his demonstration. She had no idea if she was getting it right or not. Especially when she had no idea how to make her nose do a thing.

"...That's not it, but it's hilarious," Atton said.

Because it was. It really was.

"I'm just repeating what you did," Sia told him.

Maybe.

"That isn't remotely what I described," Atton retorted. "But hey, if you want to keep on deluding yourself..."

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were watching your own face at the time," she said, not smiling at all really.

"Oh, now you're taking cues from me?"

Atton's face was the picture of deadpan exasperated.

"At the moment, yes."

She still had no idea what that look she gave was.

"Next time I'm talking to you, I think I'm going to bring a mirror."

Because that wouldn't look stupid at all.

Sia nodded. "You do that. And I'll make sure we revisit my looks."

"I-- just..."

... What?

"When did this conversation go insane?"

It was more of a surprise that you were surprised by this, Atton.

"When you started making faces at me." Which was why this amused her so much.

"Hey, hey," Atton said, because saying 'hey' always made your complaints more legitimate. "You're the one who started with the face."

"The face that you explained badly and therefore I can't recreate?" she said. "Oh, yes, that was all my fault."
