Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

There were plenty of tables and chairs scattered around the lawn for anyone who wanted to sit down once they'd had their fill of the buffet, or to recover from starting to find out what this place was all about. No one would judge the need to take a mental breather.

Some of the tables were out in the open, for those who weren't allergic to the sun, and some of the tables were in the shade, or far from the rest of the crowd for those who needed a little more space to process. Wherever people decided to rest, there was space enough for everyone.

[OOC: This is part two of the picnic, separated in an effort to save our browsers for as long as possible. Part one, to run into siblings, roommates and teachers, is over here, though teachers are also welcome in this post, of course. Because the picnic is outside, it is open to all students, teachers and townies.]

Stephanie had considered bringing out a sign demanding shirtlessness because it was a summer picnic tradition, dammit, but she'd had second thoughts about that because as a graduate she wasn't sure if that put her in dirty old lady territory.

Also she'd hate to have to punch someone in the face if the sign got taken as an invitation to get overly flirty.

Well, anyway. There she was, on a blanket under a tree with her back against the tree trunk, drinking a really huge glass of iced tea and watching.

Geez, when did the newbies get so little? Oh god, Brown, you're old now. Help.

"You need a cane to wave around imperiously," Toby commented smugly, flopping down across from her on the blanket.

Stephanie stuck her tongue out at him playfully. "If I had one, I'd hit you with it right now."

Not really.

"You'd have to catch me first," Toby shot back with a smirk.

"You're not that much younger than me, sonny," Stephanie retorted in an exaggeratedly creaky voice.

While waving an imaginary cane, of course.
