Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I
The weather was just as hazy, hot and humid as a typical July on the East Coast of the United States could get, but the sun was shining brightly, which was kind of a rarity this summer.
It wasn't raining anything weird, the teal deer were keeping to themselves in the Preserve, and another welcome picnic was underway complete with tables and chairs for chatting around and a buffet table filled (and then some) with all kinds ofmoddable summer treats.
The lists of new roommates, student siblings and teaching buddies were posted in a prominent location. Now all that was needed were people to enjoy the day!
[OOC: This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic will be in post two in an effort to stop our browsers from dying. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers and townies!

Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
"New student here. Studying formally and informally. Pleased to make your acquaintance."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
"Nice to meet you too." That was the truth, considering the guy looked like something that attacked the human race in movies. "Welcome to Fandom. Have you uh, ever been here before? On...this planet? Unless you're like some kind of mutant, in which case I'm sorry for insinuating you weren't from this planet."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
Mordin wouldn't know the location unless it was a metropolitan on one of the maps he had studied, but he would have to learn regional differences between humans slowly, and piece by piece.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
He really didn't want to offend the alien and get blown up by his death ray or something.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
Mordin backtracked for a moment, realizing his poor choice of words. "Do not mean to suggest that contact with me will result in aggression. Salarians are not particularly aggressive. Here to study and learn."

But it was good to know that he wasn't the only oddity to be found on the island.
"Have you chosen classes? Taking classes on philosophy, etiquette, and meditation. Interested in basics of human culture, first. How you interact with the larger issues, with each other, with the self."
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
He was so lame, seriously.
Re: Meet Your Big/Little Sibling [Summer 2013 - II]
Mordin also was curious as to the criteria of the categorization of 'monsters', as by all accounts he could fall under that heading to humans. But one question at a time.
