Library, Wednesday
Okay, sure, this wasn't actually Evan's usual day to be pulling a library shift, no. But he'd been doing so much reading over the past few days that he'd sort of run out of new books. Again. So he'd wandered into the library, because it had been far too early in the day to head to the bookstore, and had spent most of the morning just going through the returns. Sholeh didn't seem to be there this morning, and there were a few books in the pile that he was interested in anyway, and then force of habit had him checking the rest back in and putting them back on the shelves, and...
Well, before anyone knew it, Evan had wound up putting in a full day at the library, and a little above and beyond, because somewhere around mid-afternoon when he finally settled down to read, a bunch of fuzzy rainbow ducklings waddled in from outside and settled in to cuddle with him. It was fluffy and adorable, and Evan really didn't mind. If he wanted to get another book after this one, all he had to do was stretch in order to reach it, after all.
