Try Not To Die! [Tuesday, June 25, 3rd Period]

Just like they had for the past several weeks, class met up in the usual spot outside the Portalocity office, only today there was a distinct lack of Skywalker presence.

"Ben and Grandfather are a little bit . . . incapacitated right now," said Anakin (Solo), looking bemused, "but you're not getting out of it that easily. Actually, you're heading to --" He consulted his datapad. "Hanoi, Vietnam today. And while there isn't anything specifically planned to get you soaked in something, or covered in mud, there's no guarantees it won't happen. Sorry."

That was probably not more reassuring than usual.

Theo immediately veered away from cooking and went to play human chess. He was already pretty far behind so he tried to stay relaxed and used the other four pairs of eyes in his head to look for the symbols he needed.

He managed to find them fairly quickly and actually made up some time once he got them on the board and grabbed his final clue.

Korra decided to go for the human chess, unfortunately, she didn't know the slightest thing about chess. This couldn't have been a nice friendly game of Pai Sho, instead?

She lost a good chunk of the time she's gain from the roadblock before she figured it out.

Chess was more of a Charles thing, so Raven figured she'd go with the cooking.

Big mistake. She wasn't exactly the world's greatest cook -- she didn't have the patience to make sure she got everything right. And those live chickens took an instant dislike to her, slowing her down at every pass.

She was pretty sure the chef was cursing at her in Vietnamese. This was just not her day.

Chaz was seriously developing a hatred of chickens. And he actually liked cooking.

Human chess sounded like a much better match for Victor's skills than cooking. He got one lucky break, stumbling across the first match almost before he knew what the puzzle was, and then raced through the rest of the game.

Maddie went for the chess thing, because there was no way she was going to be able to manage the cooking thing. She didn't find the matching too hard, either, though she was pretty sure she lucked out in most of it.

Or all of it, whatever.
