Combat Tech, Tuesday Morning (1st Period)

The Danger Shop contained a table full of parts and some workbenches. Behind that stood a wall with a single door in it.

In front of everything was Kaidan, his arms crossed.

"This is your final," he said. "You've got twenty-five minutes to grab some parts and put something together. A weapon, a shield, whatever you think will be useful. Then you've got to run the gauntlet. Good luck."

He stepped out of the way.

Well, this sucked. Jim kept his shield up and tried to find some weak spot or way to get past these guys.

He stalked into the room, drawing to draw the mechs away from the entrance so he could sneak by them. A few of them moved but Jim figured he was going to have to pretty much barrel through the line.

So, that's what he did and it wasn't a great idea but at least he was large enough to burst through and get into the exit.

Anakin's tactics ended up being more or less along the same line as Jim's: he waited for the first hint of an opening, helped that opening along with a Force shove, then made a run for it.

No points for style, but he would argue that it worked, didn't it? (He could still see Corran glaring at him for saying that, too.)
